April grew up on Raquette Lake's Tioga
Point, the site of the New York State Boy's Conservation Camp
located on the grounds of Ike Kenwell's historic hotel,
later expanded into a great camp by Dr. Evans. In addition
to being a writer, she is a mother of two, a market gardener,
a spinner of wool, a nurse, and an English teacher.
